Galway Airport – Hangars
Project Description:
Design & Build contract for 2 New Hangars at Galway Airport. This project involved the construction of 2 no. large aircraft hangars (3,800m2) and an extension to the apron at Galway Airport. 150mm deep Marshall Asphalt was installed over a sub-base to an area that had been reduced to formation level involving the removal of limestone rock. These works were completed initially in a restricted landside area and were completed in an airside situation with some works being completed at night.
