Construct Innovate

Ireland’s newest Technology Centre ‘Construct Innovate’ was officially opened by An Tanáiste Leo Varadkar on 9th December.

Located at University of Galway, the purpose of the centre is to overhaul Ireland’s construction sector by accelerating research and innovation in the sector and create a more efficient and greener industry to fulfil the requirements as laid out in Irish Government investment plans, such as Project Ireland 2040, the National Development Plan 2021-2030 and Housing for All.

Co-ordinated by University of Galway and in partnership with Irish Green Building Council Trinity College Dublin University College Dublin and University College Cork and supported by Enterprise Ireland, Construct Innovate has been established with €5 million funding by the Government, spread over 5 years.

This is a great boost for the Construction Industry as a whole and it’s wonderful that Galway was the chosen location for this new centre. We at Stewart Construction are also very proud that our Business Development Director Rachael Stewart MBA has been appointed on to the steering committee.
