Micheal Ó Muircheartaigh Returns to Officially Open the Brand New Gaelscoil de hÍde in Oranmore

On Friday 31st March , broadcaster and Irish language activist Micheal Ó Muircheartaigh officially opened the new Gaelscoil de hÍde building. In 1994, Micheal opened the All-Irish primary school’s original building on the Old Bog road so it is a true honour that he returned to cut the ribbon.

Stewart Construction completed the state of the art new primary school, which has 430 pupils, in 2014 within an impressive timeframe of 34 weeks.

 

Contracts Director, Brian Gorman and Site Manager, Kevin Ruane attended the opening ceremony along with the crowds of people who came to support the school.
