Fast Track Fit Out of large Retail outlet, which comprises Drapery, Food Hall, Delicatessen and Back of House areas, with extensive Mechanical and Electrical Services Installations. Stewart Construction won the Fit Out Contract separately from Dunnes Stores.

ALDI Stores – Nationwide

Project Description:
Stewart Construction have completed over 80 stores to date for Aldi Ireland Ltd.

Aldi Ireland Ltd. demand project delivery based upon high quality, a high level of commitment from it’s contractors and completion to a very tight programme.

There are generally 4 types of work
1. Building a New Store
2. Building a complete supermarket inside an existing shell, services included with contractors work.
3. Fitting Out Existing Store to an Aldi Supermarket Store
4. We have just been awarded 3 extensions at various locations as a part of a “Roll Out” contract award procedure, in multiple site locations.

Project Value:
New Builds – up to €3.7m
Fit Outs – up to €1.3m
Extensions – up €1.3m

Project Size: Stores generally range in size from approx. 1,200sq.m. – 1,500sq.m. with some exceptions e.g. Aldi Ashbourne (2300sq.m .)

Stewart Construction have now delivered 22 projects for An Post. Many of these projects were of a similar nature, i.e. extensions to An Post Sorting Offices (Large warehouse Type Buildings), and the others involved refurbishments of existing Retail and Heritage units (C&D Framework), with works being carried out during periods of “Live” operation by An Post. On the Extensions, all building services were taken from the existing building. The refurbishment projects involved full replacement of M&E Services and upgrade of welfare facilities. An Post demand project delivery based upon high quality, a high level of commitment from its’ contractors and completion to a very tight programme. We have recently been awarded a further number of refurbishment contracts as a part of the C&D Framework.

Galway Gateway Retail Park

Project Description:
Major Retail Development, the larger units consist of 7000m² (Dunnes Stores) and 15000m² (B&Q) and a further 2500m² of retail space some 14000m² of car parking on two levels (underground & at ground level)
Stewart Construction also won the fit out contract (circa €4 million) separately from Dunnes Stores.

Client: Rumbold Builders Ltd

Architect and Design Team: James Smyth Architects, Patrick J Tobin & Co Ltd Structural Engineers, Kyne & Clyne Engineering Consultants Ltd Services Engineers, Duffy Gaffney Partnership Quantity Surveyors.

Project Size: circa 15000m² & 14000m²of car parking (on each level – basement level & floor level)
