
Project Description:
A heritage contract involving the treatment of all stonework on the building, as necessary including raking out and repointing, fungal treatment, damproofing in places, replacing damaged stones and decorative pinnacles, crosses, etc. Biocide washing and finally water repellent treatment was also done.
Scaffolding of the spire, (at over 80m, the highest in Ireland) required a specialist involvement with a (German) scaffolding system and erectors. Site works, work to the presbetry, internal works including a major rewiring subcontract were also involved.
